  • What's Popping Up?

    Hello Lovely,

What a mild winter we’ve been having here in the Northeast.

We’ve had days close to 50 degrees which seems to confuse the bugs.

I'm always mystified that one day bees or flies will be buzzing around the rafters in the studio on a warm day and then the next day when it’s below 40 degrees, they’re gone.

How does that happen?  Where do they go when it gets cold?  Do they die?  How do they just appear when it warms up?

A great question and answer for Google.

This morning I noticed the tips of the daffodils and crocuses poking out of the ground, about 1/4 inch!  It's not even March yet so is it because of the mild winter?  Don't know but it’s something I’m excited to see!!

Soon there will be color galore to wash over my eyes that are bored with all the browns and greys of winter.  No snow on the ground so no white.

The poking of the daffodils made me think about the topic of this week's blog.  Stuff that’s poking out of my skin that’s driving me nuts!
