Fruits for the Skin!

There are many natural ways to improve your skin! Your skin is a prime reflection of your eating habits, no matter the product you use at times! If your skin is looking dull, unhealthy and undernourished, we have some fruit recommendations that can help!  

  

Avocados: A superfood! Enriched in Biotin which helps out with cell regeneration. That helps with faster growing hair and nails. As well as the fatty acids help skin to have essential lubrications meaning: GLOWING SKIN!   

  

You can also make a face mask with Avocados as well! Take ½ of a very ripe avocado, 2 tsp of honey and ½ tsp of coconut oil! Mash it all together and leave on your face for 10 minutes, wipe your face with a clean damp cloth and rinse your face!   

  

Papaya: So delicious but great for skin! Lots of vitamin and antioxidants with help counter free radical damage on skin!   

  

You can also use as a face mask, mix papaya, yogurt and honey! It serves to hydrate your skin!   

  

Strawberries: High in all kinds of acids that help clean out pores; unclogging and stopping pimples from forming. No more whiteheads or blackheads! They also are rich in ellagic acid which helps guard your skin against UV damage! Meaning that it can help with preventing wrinkle formation. Keep putting on that sunscreen though…  

  

If you want to make a DIY out of it, here's a facial scrub! All you need is ¼ cup of mashed up strawberries, ¼ cup of sugar of your choice, and 4 tablespoons of coconut oil. Mix all together and there you have a scrub that will help with acne troubles and aging skin.   

  

Lemons with Loaded with vitamin C and citric acid which helps with brightening and lightening your skin when it comes to marks and such. Vitamin C serves as an antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals and boosts collagen production. That means it lightens up dark spots! Put some lemon slices in your water, add some lemon juice to your salad dressing or grate the peel and add zest to your meals!   

Try 4 teaspoons of lemon juice and 3 tablespoons of honey together as a face mask. It will help brighten your skin.   

  

Pineapples: Great for hydration and lightening the appearance of blemishes hence clearer skin! Pineapple juice is good to drink for your skin as well as eat! It contains bromelain enzymes which help make the skin firm and flexible. You can even rub a little slice of pineapple over dark spots for five minutes and wash with water, it can help minimize the blemish!   

Try pineapples and papaya together in a mask! Take ½ of papaya, 1 cup of fresh pineapple and a tablespoon of honey. You can mask all of this in a blender, you can drink it but lie down and let it rest on your face for 10-15 minutes  

  

There are plenty of more fruits that will help your skin absolutely glow! You are what you eat, load up on these yummy fruits! Then rinse away and don't forget to moisturize.
