DIY Lavender Lip Balm
Lips are not just for kissing, it’s important to keep them hydrated so you can apply that lipstick on smoothly and not have to deal with the pain of cracked lips. Everyone’s favorite way to keep lips hydrated throughout the day is lip balm! However you have to be careful of what's in your lip balm, what better way than to make your own! Check out this simple recipe that requires nothing but natural ingredients that will leave your lips nourished and soft!
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 tablespoon beeswax
2 tablespoons shea butter
7 drops lavender essential oil
Lip balm container or chapstick tube
In a small pot over medium low heat, melt the beeswax, coconut oil and shea butter.
Remove from heat and whisk lavender in.
Quickly pour into lip balm container or chapstick and let cool until hard.
Beeswax helps seal moisture into the skin. Shea butter reduces your chances of having dry lips and its loaded with vitamin f, keeping those lips hydrated and soft. Lavender also has lots of antioxidants that protect and nourish your skin. Let us know how this balm worked for you!
