Cleansing with OIL

It sounds odd to be cleansing your skin with oil but oil cleansing is actually a great way to cleanse our skin. Oil has the ability to dissolve oil, however you need to be using the right oil. It can help with oily skin, acne, blackheads, whiteheads and dry skin. The right oils are argan oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, castor oil and jojoba (which is not an oil but a liquid esther, similar to your skin's natural oil).  Castor oil is amazing for cleansing the skin. Jojoba is beneficial for all skin types, especially those who suffer from acne. Grapeseed helps out those with an oily skin type. Avocado is best for skin that's dry or aging. Jojoba and argan oil are both wonderful options for all skin types. 

 

The best part about cleansing with oil is: NOT HAVING TO TAKE YOUR MAKEUP OFF! The oil will do the work for YOU! Gently massage the oil on your skin, dip a washcloth in warm water and wring it out, then place over your face. Let the warm cloth steam and sit on your skin for a little bit. Remove all the residue with the washcloth and moisturize if you would like after. 

 

DRY SKIN: ⅓ tsp ( jojoba or grapeseed, avocado, argan, olive oil) and ⅓ tsp of castor oil 

 

NORMAL SKIN: ⅓ tsp of castor oil and ⅓ any of the oils (jojoba or grapeseed, avocado, argan) 

 

OILY SKIN: ⅓ tsp (jojoba or grapeseed) and ⅔ tsp of castor oil
